Our story
Ananda Kitchen (you may also know us as Ananda BITES) is a fast-casual South Indian restaurant inside BITES Food Court + Bar at 8046 New Hampshire Ave in Langley Park. We held our grand opening on Dussehra in October 2025 and have been serving fresh dosas ever since.
For many years this space was home to Woodlands, a beloved South Indian vegetarian restaurant. When BITES Food Court + Bar took over the space, it became a food hall. Now South Indian food is back where many neighbors remember it.
What we cook
Traditional South Indian dishes, made simple: dosas cooked to order, idli and medhu vada, sambar and chutneys made in house every day, plus North Indian favorites and Mumbai-style street food. Everything is vegetarian and made in our own dedicated vegetarian kitchen, with vegan and Swaminarayan-friendly options.
The space
Come sit with us among marigold garlands, Bollywood touches and bright colors. Order at the counter, grab a table, and stay a while. BITES also has Charleys Philly Steaks, SmoothieFRESH bubble tea and a full bar, so it works for families, friends and groups.
